The three industrial units, Jalles Machado, Otávio Lage and Santa Vitória have a total capacity for processing 9 million tons/harvest, with 100% own cane, 100% mechanized planting and harvesting.
Located in the states of Goiás and Minas Gerais, the plants have various fiscal benefits and lower land competition than other locations in the country.
In the domestic market, Jalles focuses its sales in the North and Northeast regions, where its sugar, sold with the Itajá brand, has a notable recognition. The production of organic sugar is marketed in major national chains, but is primarily destined for the external market. More than 20 countries receive the Itajá Organic Sugar, with the most important locations being the United States and the European continent.
Both white and organic sugar have a significant price differential when compared to VHP sugar. Currently, Jalles is the second largest producer of organic sugar in the world and the largest exporter to the North American market.
In energy cogeneration, the Company has long-term contracts, corrected by the IGPM or IPCA, providing a highly stable and predictable cash flow. The balance is sold on the spot market, which has shown attractive prices in recent periods.
Jalles is a reference in the field of agriculture. Precision agriculture, with the use of GPS and automatic pilot in part of the fleet, the application of inputs at variable rates, which allows the application of agricultural inputs in the quantities required in each area, the long-term partnerships formed with research institutes such as CTC, IAC and Ridesa, among others, assisted in the creation of specific cane varieties for the climate of the region, and the low average radius, allow the Company to increase the longevity of the cane field, achieve high agricultural productivity and still reduce costs with CCT.
